Memorial of the Unborn 

Since the passage of Issue 1, with an unknown number of abortion clinics in the Greater Columbus Area, and an sharp increase of the at-home abortion pill, 21,829 abortions were committed in Ohio in 2024, and 4260 women suffered an abortion in Franklin County.

This means that statewide, 60 babies were lost to abortion everyday. This means that 82 babies were lost to abortion each week in Central Ohio and 355 in one month. You can read the 2024 Ohio Abortion Statistics Report Here.

The heartbreaking magnitude is hard to comprehend. The Memorial of the Unborn serves as a visual representation and call to prayer, awareness, and action - demonstrating the true impact of abortion with a pair of shoes, booties, socks collected for each life lost to abortion. 

This powerful memorial and educational tool is available to groups, churches, and schools at no cost and can be customized with abortion statistics specific to the area. It can be offered as a display that incudes educational materials, post-abortion healing resources, and an invitation to get involved in pro-life activism at the local level, or as part of a presentation that covers local abortion statistics. ​

We know that these shoes do not tell the whole story. We respond to the tragedy of abortion through prayerful intervention, and by God's grace, Greater Columbus Right to Life has been able to help more than 700 moms choose life, and has seen a long-term reduction in the number of abortion providers, referral sites, and total abortions.
