2025 Year End Giving

Our prayer for the coming year is one of abundant life for you and your family poured out into our shared mission.

This At Greater Columbus Right to Life, our response to the abortion crisis is this: a community of individuals, families, and churches dedicated to the cause of life and anchored in hope and truth. This is why we are rebuilding to effectively grow, revitalize, and anchor our community.

This Christmas, we are most thankful for the gift of a community that gives life.

In 2026, there are so many ways to partner with us and help end abortion in Ohio by 2033.

Give Online:

Donate today, Tax Exempt Org
Click the button to give a donation easily and securely using a credit card or check with our e-giving partner. Please note that a new page will open to a secure giving portal operated by our e-giving partner, Cornerstone. Gifts to GCRTL's Educational Fund 501(c)(3) are generally tax deductible, but we are limited in how we can use them.
Support GCRTL ACT
If you are a donor who does not itemize deductions or are looking to support our policy development or lobbying efforts - click the button to learn more about and support our 501(c)(4).
Charitable gifts may be tax-deductible for donors who itemize their federal income taxes. Cash gifts to public charities such as the Columbus Right to Life Educational Fund are generally deductible up to 60% of adjusted gross income (AGI), with any excess carried forward for up to five years. Current tax law has significantly reduced the number of donors who itemize their federal income tax deductions, and if you are not one of them, you may consider giving to GCRTL ACT – our fund that allows us to be more engaged in non-partisan public policy action. You should always check with your financial advisor or tax attorney for tailored advice to your situation.

If You prefer Not To Give Online:

If you prefer not to donate online, you can mail your gift to 4900 Reed Road, Suite 200; Columbus, OH 43220. We do not recommend sending cash gifts through the mail, especially large cash gifts.  If you prefer to donate with a credit card, you can call us at 614-445-8508 or you can download an appeal card, complete it, and mail it to us.

Non-Cash Giving

If you are considering a non-cash gift to GCRTL and are not already working with us or your financial advisor, give us a call. Some of these options can take a little time to set up or transfer to be eligible for a 2025 tax year deduction. Here is some info we generally share:
  • Gifts of appreciated assets (things like stock, mutual funds, or other securities held for more than one year) are typically deductible up to 30% of AGI. Donating appreciated assets may also allow you to avoid capital-gains tax that would otherwise be due if the asset were sold and the proceeds donated.
  • Gifts to private foundations are subject to lower limits: generally 30% of AGI for cash gifts and 20% of AGI for appreciated securities, with the same five-year carryforward available. However, working with a private foundation can help you to maximize and consolidate your giving strategy. We receive donations from a number of private foundations and work with several that specifically affirm pro-life and faith-based values such as the Catholic Foundation and the Stewardship Foundation. Give us a call and we can help direct you to some options.
  • IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow donors age 70½ or older to give directly from a traditional IRA to a public charity (This used to be called an IRA Rollover, but the terminology has changed). QCDs can satisfy Required Minimum Distributions and exclude the donated amount from taxable income. Donors may give up to $105,000 per year through QCDs in (indexed annually), or up to $210,000 for married couples when each spouse contributes from their own IRA.
  • Many local employers (Battelle, Nationwide, Aetna, US Bank, Cardinal Health, etc) also offer matching gift programs or make contributions recognizing employee volunteering hours. Checking with your HR Department is an easy way to increase the impact of your gift.
