FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
A new clinic doing business as Pickerington Medical Center has opened in Pickerington at 670 Hill Road North. The Pickerington Medical Center is a satellite office of the infamous Columbus-area abortionist Dr. Samuel. Dr. Samuel has been advertising the facility as a new office on his website.
A recent article in a Pickerington-area publication of This Week News notes that the facility will host both an office of LabCorp and an imaging
center, but does not mention Dr. Samuel or the nature of his business. According to public records, Pickerington Medical Center’s mailing address is the same as Complete Healthcare for Women, one of three active Columbus-area abortion offices. The 40 Days for Life Campaign and GCRTL-trained sidewalk counselors are active at the Cleveland Avenue office of Complete Healthcare for Women.
Beth Vanderkooi, Executive Director of Greater Columbus Right to Life, stated, “I’ve received dozens of phone calls, emails, and messages about the opening of the Pickerington medical clinic, and the community is worried. Currently, there are about 102 abortions performed on average every week in the greater Columbus region. That is 102 babies who will never take their first breaths or first steps, many of them at the hands of Dr. Samuels. It is especially concerning to the community that news of his new office is opening with great fanfare over LED lights by local media, rather than the numbers of women and babies that he has led to abortion or reports about the conditions of his facility.”
In response to news of the clinic opening, members of the local community plan to peacefully pray outside of the facility at 2:00 PM on Monday the 21st. A meeting for concerned citizens throughout the region will be held on Tuesday the 22nd at 6:00 PM in Herman Hall at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. The Church is located at 600 Hill Road North in Pickerington. All are welcome to this meeting. Members of the local community as well as representatives of Greater Columbus Right to Life and other community organizations will be in attendance.
Vanderkooi added, “It is with a heavy heart that I will be spending the 40th Anniversary of Roe v Wade in a meeting to talk about another clinic opening. But the Columbus area pro-life community is enthusiastic in our mission to help women choose life, and we are confident that we will continue to turn the tide in our area.”
Pro-life Ohioans are invited to attend the organization’s Roe Remembrance Rally for Life on Tuesday the 22nd at 12:00 at the Ohio Statehouse to learn
more about abortion in Columbus. Anyone interested in joining the community conversation about the Pickerington Facility is welcome to attend the Meeting at 6:00 pm at Herman Hall.
