MARCH FOR LIFE
Poster or T-shirt Design Contest
We are calling all artists, from the youngest among us to the young-at-heart, to design a poster or T-shirt that you think best embodies the pro-life message of "Always Pray and Do Not Give Up" or "No Judgement: Just Love". Teachers are encouraged to participate as classes (contact us regarding submission).
Approved Format(s)
You may choose any artistic medium as long as the overall artwork is an original piece and does not contain any copyrighted materials (this includes copying other designs, using clip art or photos that you do not have permission to use, etc.) The following form should be attached to the rear of the poster if submitted in a hard copy or attached electronically if emailed. You can also submit digital designs using the online submission form below.
- One entry per person.
- Grade level is determined by the 2022-2023 school year. For students in dual enrollment or similar programs, use the grade they are determined for the purposes of their high school graduation year.
- Finished artwork must be original in any medium. Computer generated or assisted work is acceptable but must not use copyrighted material.
- Must demonstrate use of themes “Always Pray and Never Give Up” or “No Judgement: Just Love” from a broadly pro-life perspective.
- Artwork must be received by September 16, 2022, in an approved format, and must have attached the entry form below.
- Posters need to be 17"x 11" and if digitally created, 300 dpi for printing.
- T-shirt designs should fit in a 14"x18" space. They can be one sided or two. If you want to see how your digital design looks on a T-shirt, Canva has a convenient template.
- Each design will be evaluated on originality, use of medium, presentation of theme, and visibility for reprint.
- There are three age categories, Kindergarten through 6th grade, 7th grade through 12th grade, and adult. Each category will include a first place ($150), second place ($75), and third place ($25) winner. Honorable mentions and fan favorites will be awarded at the judges’ discretion, and all participants will be recognized.
- Upon submission, all artwork becomes the property of Columbus Right to Life Education Fund and Greater Columbus Right to Life.
- Winners will have their artwork featured on March for Life rally signs, posters used throughout the region and t-shirts (as appropriate).
- Digital designs can be emailed to our office to cinda@gcrtl.org or attached with the form below.
- Physical designs can be mailed to or dropped off at our office, 4900 Reed Rd., Suite 200, Columbus, Ohio 43220 (please call before stopping by 614-445-8508). If classroom or school is participating, we would be happy to pick up your submissions.
