Note: The Roe Remembrance Event at the Ohio Statehouse traditionally follows the 10:30 am Respect Life Mass celebrated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Columbus at St. Joseph's Cathedral. Because many participants process from the Cathedral, if Mass runs a few minutes late, we may hold the start of the Remembrance event in order to accommodate the procession.
Note: DC March Attendees - St. Patrick's Bus Trip is the only one that we have been made aware of at this time.
This year, the Roe Remembrance and the Respect Life Mass will be held on Monday, January 22nd, 2024. For those participating, the Mass will begin at the traditional 10:30 time and the Roe Remembrance will start at 12:05pm (note: the Mass is organized by the Diocese of Columbus and the standards for attendance, etc., at the Mass are not set by GCRTL). The Roe Remembrance will be held outside the Ohio Statehouse on the West Lawn.
We will not be commenting publicly on all of our security measures, there but if you would like to bring a school or other group and have specific questions or concerns, please reach out to our office for more information.
As usual, you may not bring dangerous items or things that could damage the historic Statehouse with you. This includes weapons, poles, stickers, chalk, etc. Students and Respect Life Group representatives may bring their banners or identification signs (like for the march), but are asked to leave poles and sticks at home.

If there is a level 3 weather/snow advisory in Franklin County or if for some reason the Statehouse is closed, our event will be cancelled or postponed.
In other weather conditions, please use your best judgment given the weather conditions, and know that we may adjust our speaker lineup or program length if weather conditions (or life/illness/etc) make that necessary. Looking forward to seeing you!
