Of course I'm going to say one of them is voting, but you already knew that, didn't you? November 2 is an important day for us - this is the day we get to make use of our privilege to help pick who will represent us in state and federal government. Since January 22, 1973, more than 52,000,000 pre-born Americans have lost their voices because someone else took it from them. Please don't give up your voice by your own choice. Vote.
If you are voting by absentee ballot and want to mail your ballot to the election board, please note that your ballot must be POSTMARKED by Monday, November 1 - THAT'S TODAY. If you miss the mailing deadline, you can still deliver it in person to the Franklin County election board, but it must be delivered by the time that the polls close on November 2. If you are unsure of how and by when you need to send in your ballot, complete directions are given on the Ohio Secretary of State's Absentee Voting Web page.
So what's the other thing to do?
Help convince our legislators to ban late-term abortions in Ohio.
Did you know that in 2009 there were more than 100 abortions performed on pre-born children whose development was far enough along that they could have been able to survive outside their mother's womb?
There was even one abortion that was performed on a child at 35 weeks gestational age!
Under current Ohio law this is legal.
Please tell your legislators that you want this deplorable practice stopped.
We may not have enough votes in the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal at all stages of development, but we can work to pass an Ohio law that wold ban abortions on pre-born children who have reached "viability".
A nonpartisan group is petitioning pro-life Ohioans to encourage our legislators to take action and support a law that would ban abortion on viable pre-born children. Please add your name to the petition at www.abortioninohio.com.
